But seriously Minato should still be able to win, he's still way faster than Naruto

My reasons for Minato's win would be that for one Minato clearly has speed over Naruto.. hands down. All Naruto does is clones and Rasengan. Minato created it, so Im sure he knows how to counter it... thats if Naruto would ever be able to hit him. Minato didnt get his title of the Yellow Flash for nothing.
Thirdly, when Naruto starts to lose, he usually turns to the 9 tails for extra power. SURPRISE! Minato has the other half. So theres no advantage there. Naruto honestly is not that great at hand to hand combat. Minato would destroy him.

Except Yamato stated just after Naruto learned to harness the Kyuubi that he's nearly as fast as Minato, and it's been quite a while since then. He even developed another new mode.

Minato never fused the Rasengan with his chakra nature though, that's where Naruto has the edge

True, although I'd assume he has seeing as if he is only a few years younger than Kakashi (according to the databook) and would probably be aware of who the Hokage was

Yeah Kakashi might have known the true extent of Minato's speed but just because he was in his team. Not all the genins/chunins get to see the hokage fight at full power. And besides that I dunno if Yamato wasn't being experimented on by Oro at the time Minato was Hokage
