Failed to update Unity Web Player

hi

im new here and really want to try the game

but every time I start the game it gives me this error and automatically download "UnityPlayer3.x.x-win32.zip"

can someone help me with this

Firefox 38.0.5 with the latest installer of Unity Web Player from their website

I had the same problem as you but after disabling apps like Internet download manager from reaching firefox my problem was solved.
I really hope it works for you, i couldn't give you a proper instruction but you can pm me if it doesn't work, I will try my best to solve your problem.

Uninstall Unity Web Player completely from your PC and install it again from this link: http://webplayer.unity3d.com/download_webplayer-3.x/UnityWebPlayerFull.exe
