Does creating a character in the Shinobi Life Online Character board reserve that character name for whoever posted it, or would it be first come-first served for names when the game is released?

Unfortunately, I think it will be the latter. Hopefully, nobody is enough of a prick to steal a name instead of coming up with one.

If you want, you could always post the character without the name. Like name: ? ? ? ?
And the title of the thread could be my character or something.

Yea, my name is kind of unique, I doubt anyone will take my characters name. Kusanagi might be taken, but I'll probably be on right after the game launches to get my name.

True, but what if a new member decides to create a character and doesn't look at the others, and he'll choose the first name you chose some time ago. Then what to do? Is like Aitojinsei said first come-first served. :D I think we need smth to reserve the names.

This is a big reason as to why I have yet to post my character, coupled with the fact that he isn't fully developed.
I doubt there will be name reservations, then again there might be for those who donated, whatever Vreg decides.
Good luck for those who are at risk of identity theft.
