Most of my art is Mixed Media. the character is usually hand drawn while the background is a real image.

These look pretty good, I was never very good at drawing dragons/other animals but you seem to have a knack for it. Hope you continue on with it.

That one I consider a big success. I just plopped an edited hand drawing on Gimp, colored it, erased the background, and placed a scene from my video game in the background.
I Think the background made it cool too.
